Travelodge East Ottawa Votes Yes!

A first-ever contract cuts hotel housekeepers’ assignments from 16 rooms to 14. Other highlights include:

  • Duration of agreement changed to from 3 to 5 years September 2025-August 2030
  • Lay-off period extended to from 12 months to 18 months or extended to 24 months due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Rooms assigned by seniority and a maximum of 14(used to be 16) rooms assigned to every housekeeper
  • An employee having (16 years) changed to 15 years of seniority will receive 5 weeks vacation paid at 10% of last year’s earning’s preceding vacation.
  • Full time employees will receive an attendance incentive of $50 per day for each sick day they do not use by the end of the year
  • Birthdays off with pay
  • 3.0% raise every year until end of contract
  • Each member of the Health and Safety Committee will receive up to date certification for CPR and First Aid Training, to be arranged by the Company
